David Zayas Lands Prime Spot on Syfy’s ‘Deadly Class’

Deadly Class follows a disillusioned teen recruited into a storied high school for assassins. Maintaining his moral code while navigating a ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques, and his own adolescent uncertainties may prove fatal. Set against the backdrop of late 80s counter culture, Deadly Class is a coming of age story unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Based on the smash hit comic series of the same name by Rick Remender.

Acclaimed character actor David Zayas (OZ, ) has been added to the rolls of the SYFY nested series, ‘Deadly Class,’ and will start making screen time on your TV sets starting in 2019.

According to SYFY, Zayas will play El Alma Del Diablo (The Devil’s Soul), Chico’s father and leader of the Mexican cartel. Mawema, meanwhile, will play Gabrielle, who tries to persuade Willie that perhaps studying at a school that trains assassins may not be the right fit for him.

The production is executive-produced by Avengers: Infinity War directors the Russo Brothers.
