A musician plagued by insomnia is pulled into an odyssey with a stranger who begins to unravel the very core of his existence.
On the heels of dropping his 22-track sixth album just days ago, “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” which is getting rave reviews across the board, and after a three year boycott of the Emmy’s, Abel Tesfaye aka the Weeknd (which is now no more) has released a trailer for the genre-bending (comedy/musical/psychological thriller) movie of the same name. And judging from the trailer, the project looks visually stunning and complex in the same vein that his music videos have been: brooding, atmospheric tales of coviction. And that is okay with us as we can all use cathartic introspection during these tumultuous stranger-than-fiction times.
The film stars Abel Tesfaye (of course!), Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan, and is directed by Trey Edward Shults. The film is written Abel Tesfaye, Reza Fahim, and Shults.
Lionsgate is releasing the film exclusively in theaters on May 16, 2025. Peep the trailer blow…
