ON THE HORRIZON: 'HUSK'
After Dark Films journeys into the corn fields with Brett Simmons; After Dark Originals' 8-film slate hits theaters January 28th

When a murder of crows smash into the windshield causing their car to crash, the group of young friends, inside, are forced to abandon the vehicle. Stranded beside a desolate cornfield, they see a light on in a window and decide to go in search of help. They head into the fields but instead of finding sanctuary they discover something evil and unnatural lurking in the corn.

After Dark Films (ADF) has released the trailer for another of the eight films under its After Dark Originals (ADO) banner: HUSK. Written and directed by Brett Simmons, the film is based on Simmons' 2005 acclaimed short film of the same, which starred Guillermo Diaz. The current pending release stars Devon Graye, Wes Chatham, C.J. Thomason, and Tammin Sursok.

Best known for their annual 8 Films To Die For Horrorfest, After Dark Films created After Dark Originals to "create high quality horror films that provide After Dark [Films] full control from script concept through final editing." Other films in the ADO series include Seconds Apart, Re-Kill, Prowl, Scream of the Banshee, Fertile Ground, The Task, and 51. All eight films will begin their limited theatrical releases on January 28, 2011 for a week-long marathon of horror, with VOD/DVD releases following shortly thereafter. After Dark Originals is a partnership between ADF, SYFY, and Lionsgate.
