ON THE HORRIZON: William Brent Bell's ‘The Boy’
Trailer, One-sheet and Images.

An American nanny is shocked that her new English family's boy is actually a life-sized doll. After violating a list of strict rules, a series of disturbing events begin to take hold.

Creepy is as creep does, and this trailer (below) points to a film with the potential for some seriously purpose-built creep factor. THE BOY revolves around Greta (Lauren Cohan - The Walking Dead), a young American woman who takes a job as a nanny in a remote English village, only to discover that the family's 8-year-old is a life-sized doll that the parents care for just like a real boy, as a way to cope with the death of their actual son 20 years prior. After violating a list of strict rules, a series of disturbing and inexplicable events bring Greta's worst nightmare to life, leading her to believe that the doll is actually alive.

Previously known as The Inhabitant, The Boy is a horror/thriller directed by William Brent Bell, who revelead his horror chops on Devil Inside. The script is written by Stacey Menear. Filming began on March 10, 2015, in Victoria, British Columbia. The film is scheduled to be released by STX Entertainment on January 22, 2016. More as the film moves forward here at LATIN HORROR.
