Pet Sematary Scaredy-Cat Café: Interview with Jeté Laurence

0

Latin Horror, Edwin Pagán and Christian A. Morán were invited to ‘Pet Sematary Scaredy-Cat Café‘ to interview Jeté Laurence for the Home Entertainment release of Paramount Pictures’ ‘Pet Sematary‘.

The Koneko Cat Café in downtown Manhattan, New York City hosted a special screening of the new adaption of Stephen King’s novel ‘Pet Sematary‘. It was an event where fans got the opportunity to have drinks, mingle, eat candy & popcorn and take pictures with cats.

The café had a special ‘Pet Sematary‘ menu where guests were treated to both hot and cold beverages. In the back of the café, in a glass made room, fans were able to take pictures with cats or a pretty cool ‘Pet Sematary‘ green screen backdrop. Pagán and I opted to take pictures with the cool backdrop.

As the event went on, Latin Horror was escorted to the basement room which seemed to be the playground for the visiting cats. The room was turned into a studio where we had a chance to interview young actress, Jeté Laurence, who plays the role of Ellie Creed in ‘Pet Sematary‘ (watch the interview above). Jeté caught me by surprise because she was smaller than I pictured her from the movie. She was well spoken, energetic and eager to do the interview.

After the interview the studio was changed back into a playground slash screening room. This is when all the fans were brought down to watch ‘Pet Sematary‘ with the cats roaming around the room. Everyone was asked to put on a cat mask which I thought was cool. Then Jeté Laurence cut a promo for the home release of ‘Pet Sematary‘ with everyone in the cat mask. This was really fun and Jeté was really cool, especially how she delivered this line, “You’re not a scaredy-cat are you”.  She then followed by introducing the film to everyone that was in attendance.

When the film was over each guest including Latin Horror was given a goody bag, which contained an awesome T-Shirt, Candy, a jar of un-popped popcorn, a Lent remover for the cat hairs, and the Blu-Ray!!! Over all the Pet Sematary Scaredy-Cat Café was a pretty fun experience.

Pet Sematary‘ is out now on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, DVD, and Video-On-Demand through Paramount Home Entertainment. The 4K Ultra HD Combo, Blu-Ray Combo & Digital are jam packed with extras that include: Alternated Ending, Deleted and Extended Scenes, Night Terrors (with Louis, Rachel and Ellie), The Tale of Timmy Baterman and a mini documentary called, “Beyond the Deadfall”. Beyond the Deadfall is actually four chapters that dive deeply into the making of ‘Pet Sematary‘. I can’t wait to watch it!!!

Synopsis: After the Creed family relocates from Boston to rural Maine, they soon discover an ancient burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home. When tragedy strikes, the grief-stricken father is driven by the cemetery’s sinister power, setting off a perilous chain of events that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences. Some secrets are best left buried in this twisted thriller.
