The horror streaming channel Shudder is expanding to animation with its new entre, a Shudder Original, ‘A CREEPSHOW ANIMATED SPECIAL‘.
One of the stories is the adaptation of Stephen King‘s most brutal short story, ‘Survivor Type‘. I’m quite upset that ‘Survivor Type‘ is animation instead of a live action, especially since I’ve been waiting for this story since Shudder announced the episode for season one. But I’m looking forward to seeing segment anyways. ‘Survivor Type‘ is about “a man determined to stay alive alone on a deserted island no matter what the cost“. The segment stars Kiefer Sutherland (Designated Survivor, 24) and adapted by Greg Nicotero.
The other story is ‘Twittering from the Circus of the Dead‘, which is an adaption from a Joe Hill short story. The segment stars Joey King (The Kissing Booth, The Act), “as a teen whose family road trip includes a visit to the gravest show on earth“. The story is adapted by Melanie Dale.
