Anthony Mendez is
LATIN HORROR's ofificial
voice, and recently did the
vocals for our first-ever
trailer promo for the brand,
which will make its world
premiere and launch on October
26, 2011.
Anthony's love of the macabre
stems from being around grave
markers all his life, and his
love for reading (he'd lock
himself in his room as a kid
just to read what he
considered classic literature:
Logan's Run, ET, and Benji).
As a result, Anthony's voice
has been heard on the TV movie
trailer for George A. Romero's
“Diary of the Dead.”
Other voice-over
promos for a variety of
networks include IFC Films,
NBC, MTV (and MTV tr3s,)
Spike, and CNN, as well as on
trailers for major independent
studios including Fox
Searchlight and Warner Bros
Pictures. He narrated the
entire campaign for CNN's
Latino in America for which
one of the promos was
nominated for a 2010 News and
Documentary Emmy in the
category of "Outstanding
Promotional Announcement –
Episodic.” He also voiced the
recent CNN “Latino in America
2: In Her Corner” promotional
campaign and can be heard on
promos for CNN's iPhone/iPad
app.
On his love of voice-over
work: “The voice and the way
we use it to communicate is
such an integral part of what
makes us who we are and
I'm honored to be able to
communicate with millions of
people from different walks of
life on behalf of hundreds of
writers."
