EXCLUSIVE: Trailer for Carlos Marbán’s Horror Sci-fi ‘CURSED’ (Malditas)

The lives of six girls belong to different worlds although connected to each other through a doll called Molly, whose existence dates back to 1976, when she appeared among the rubble of the great fire of the San Carlos orphanage, in northern Spain.

International genre cinema specialist Red Owl Films has released the trailer to the horror movie CURSED, written and directed by Carlos Marbán, who refers to it as a “love letter to horror cinema, where the first thing we see are its little protagonists, who embody complex, dramatic, violent roles, but always full of energy and meaning.”

The lives of Amaia, Lidia, Argi, Beatriz, Elena and Marta belong to different worlds, although connected to each other by means of a doll named Molly, whose existence dates back to 1976, when she appeared among the rubble of the great fire at the San Juan orphanage. Carlos, north of Spain. Molly accompanies each of our protagonists through their own nightmares, witnessing all of it and being part of the horrors they face, changing their lives forever.

The film was part of the Sitges Film Festival (October 3-16, 2024), won Best Film at Terror en la Bahia; Best Sound Design at Tuesday of horror; obtained an Honorable Mention at Resistencia Film Festival, and will have its next official screening at the Moscow International Film Festival this this week (April 19-26, 2024).
