
Blumhouse just dropped the trailer for ‘The Black Phone‘. Director Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Sinister, Deliver Us from Evil) returns to horror with a chilling film that is getting extremely a lot of buzz in the industry. The movie is based on the award-winning short story by Joe Hill from his New York Times bestseller 20th Century Ghosts. It is about a young boy (Mason Thames) who gets abducted by The Grabber (Ethan Hawke) and then suddenly starts hearing the voices of past victims through a disconnected phone.

The Black Phone opens in theaters on February 4, 2022.
SYNOPSIS: Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.
