Wes Craven’s ‘SCREAM‘, the slasher film that changed and revived the Horror genre of the 90’s and spawned three more sequels and a TV series is back with a fifth installment. Paramount Pictures just dropped the trailer for the new ‘Scream‘. Adding to the the Scream franchise and are the new directors is Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett. Matt is known for V/H/S and Tyler is known for co-directing (with Matt Bettinelli-Olpin) Devil’s Due and Ready or Not. Reprising their roles is Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. Joining the cast are two Latinas, Melissa Barrera (In the Heights, Vida) and Jenna Ortega (The Babysitter: Killer Queen, You, Wednesday), who are playing the Carpenter sisters.
Scream will be screening in theaters on JANUARY 14, 2022.
SYNOPSIS: Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.
