A24 dropped the lates trailer for ‘MaXXXine’ starring Mia Goth. ‘MaXXXine’ (2024) is a sequel and part of the Ti West “X” Trilogy, which includes the original film ‘X’ (2022) and the prequel ‘Pearl’ (2022). The sequel will conclude this horror series which seems to be a classic 80’s slasher. Reminiscent of films like William Lustig’s ‘Maniac’ (1980) and my favorite Brian De Palma’s ‘Dressed to Kill’ (1980), to name a few.
Mia Goth will reprise her role as Maxine, the lone surviver of the ‘X’ massacre. Maxine is now known as a former Porn star trying to make it in tinseltown as a legit actress. Unknowingly, Maxine is being stalked by a killer dubbed “The Knight Stalker”.
The film will also star Elizabeth Debicki (Tenet), Ghanaian-American singer-songwriter Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan (Gone Baby Gone), Bobby Cannavale (Ant-Man and the Wasp), American singer-songwriter Halsey, Lily Collins (Priest), and heavy hitters Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian, Godfather of Harlem) and Kevin Bacon (Footloose, Tremors).
