The Meza brothers (Andres and Diego Meza-Valdés) from Miami have scored a movie deal with Orion Pictures. The brothers will be directing, CASA, a haunted house story revolving around a Latino family.
Andres and Diego are internationally know in the horror and film festival community for several horror films including the The Room, Play Dead and the award wining and socially conscious Boniato. A film about illegal migrant workers that are pursued by supernatural force. A short film that is a perfect fit for the United States political climate.
The directors have said to Remezcla, “As longtime fans of the genre we’re excited to see the attention horror has gotten in recent years as the conduit for important social dialogue. Horror has always had a history of that, but we feel it is now more important than ever.”
