Dead Mouse Productions and Cult Screenings UK Ltd released the trailer for ‘Pennywise: The Story of IT‘. The documentary chronicles the classic 1990’s ABC miniseries IT, starring Tim Curry as the iconic clown Pennywise. The film is directed by Chris Griffiths and written and produced by John Campopiano and Gary Smart. The movie reunites the director, Tommy Lee Wallace and the cast including: Emily Perkins, who recalls that Curry would sit around in his clown makeup and chain smoke. As well as Seth Green, who tells stories of mischief that went on in front of the camera as well as the back.
IT is an adaption of Stephen King’s classic 1986 novel of the same name. The story is about a group of seven kids, outcasts, who fight an evil demon child killing clown. Then as adults, thirty years later, they reunite in their hometown to fight the clown once and for all. After the 90’s TV adaption, New Line Cinema made the film version of IT (2017), which was a successful hit at box office and terrified a brand new audience. That version was one half of the book as it only told the story of the young kids fight Pennywise. It: Chapter Two, which will be in theaters Sept. 6, 2019 will tell the story of the adults charters fight the evil clown.
The best part of watching the trailer is seeing Tim Curry. After suffering a stroke in 2012 he has kept himself out of the public eye. Good to see him back. Pennywise: The Story of IT has no release date but Latin Horror will keep you up to date with the latest information.
