Coming to Blu-ray, DVD, and digital on February 26 is “Rampant”. A Korean genre blender of samurai sword swinging and hoards of deadly flesh eating zombies. The synopsis alone has three key words: Battle, Bloodthirsty and Demons.
“Returning from imprisonment abroad, a prince and his fellow countrymen band together to battle bloodthirsty demons in ancient Korea.”
Judging from the trailer and those keys words this movie looks AWESOME!!!
“Rampant” comes from the studio that made the international hit, “Train to Busan”. The film is directed by Kim Sung-hoon and starring Hyun Bin, both of which, worked together on the successful, “Confidential Assignment”. In the film, “Rampant”, Hyun plays a hero named Lee Chung, who fights, “Night Demons” to save his people, the Joseon nation.
Critic Shim Sun-ah from the Yonhap News Agency said,
“the movie much to the satisfaction of fans of zombie movies, they are quick, strong and cruel, not to mention creepy. It also succeeded in giving audiences spectacular sword-fight sequences and some truly beautiful cinematography.”
