The trailer for Warner Bros. Pictures’ Doctor Sleep has hit the Inter-webs and we gotta say that it looks very promising indeed. Or as promising as a sequel to a Stanley Kubrick classic can be. Here’s the premise of the new vehicle:
“Years following the events of “The Shining,” a now-adult Dan Torrance meets a young girl with similar powers as his and tries to protect her from a cult known as The True Knot who prey on children with powers to remain immortal.“
It’s too early to speculate whether fans of the original will be pleased or disgruntled with Mike Flanagan‘s stab at the material, which is based on the novel by Stephen King. But Flanagan is no slouch and has constantly delivered the horror goods in such projects as Oculus (2013), and kept us mesmerized with the Netflix original series The Haunting of Hill House (2018). The film’s release date is November 8, 2019.
