HAIL TO THE DEADITES is a documentary about the fans of the EVIL DEAD films and explores the classic franchise’s undying and ever-growing popularity.

LATIN HORROR Fresh off its Bronze Audience Award win at the Fantasia Film Festival, The Evil Dead documentary HAIL TO THE DEADITES, directed by Steve Villeneuve (Under The Scares), has just released its official trailer and a brand new festival poster—and it’s DEAD on! ‘EVIL DEAD’ fans rejoice!

The feature length documentary is independently produced by Montreal-based DiggerFilms, is inspired by Sam Raimi‘s 1981 cult classic, and puts the spotlight on the fans of the franchise who are responsible for making it a world-wide pop-culture phenomenon.

Feature interviews include Bruce Campbell, Ted Raimi, Betsy Baker, Theresa Tilly, Ellen Sandweiss, Richard DeManincor, Tom Sullivan, Dan Hicks, Kassie Wesley DePaiva, Sarah Berry, Rick Domeier, Bill Moseley, and an army of dedicated and colorful Deadites.

Great news hit last week as the film was acquired for Canadian distribution by Indiecan Entertainment, and the international sales bill be handled by Raven Banner Entertainment who currently feature the title at the Toronto International Film Festivals Market.

Edwin "El Miedo" Pagán
Edwin "El Miedo" Pagán is the Founder-In-Chief of LATIN HORROR. Pagán is a writer, filmmaker and life-long horror fan. In 2008 he founded LATIN HORROR, an online niche market website specializing in Latin-influenced horror, its documentation, and promotion as a distinct genre. Pagán is at the forefront of the Latin "Dark Creative Expressionist" movement, a term he coined as a means of identifying the millions of lost souls who live outside the rim of mainstream society and whose lifestyle and work is grounded in horror, the macabre, and gothic arts. Currently, he is penning a book entitled 'MIEDO - The History of Latin Horror.' Trivia: He is noted for ending his written correspondence with the offbeat salutation 'There will be SANGRE!'
