Netflix released the trailer for an original animation anthology series, ‘Love, Death + Robots‘. David Fincher (“Se7en”) and Tim Miller (“Deadpool”) have teamed up for eighteen animated shorts for adults. The trailer is crazy and hyper! From aliens to werewolves, to robots and blood and guts, the trailer doesn’t hold back.
The shorts are going to be 5 to 10 minutes each. All created by different filmmakers from around the world. The style of the animation varies from hand-drawn to photo-real CG. The short stories will cover heavy themes from,
“racism, government, war, free will, and human nature… The series draws inspiration from the eclectic and provocative comic book material from the 1970’s that influenced both Miller’s and Fincher’s formative interests in storytelling.” -NETFLIX
In a statement, Tim Miller said,
“Love, Death & Robots is my dream project. It combines my love of animation and amazing stories. Midnight movies, comics, books and magazines of fantastic fiction have inspired me for decades, but they were relegated to the fringe culture of geeks and nerds of which I was a part. I’m so f—king excited that the creative landscape has finally changed enough for adult-themed animation to become part of a larger cultural conversation.”
Love, Death + Robots‘ starts streaming on MARCH 15th on NETFLIX.
Synopsis: Sentient dairy products, werewolf soldiers, robots gone wild, garbage monsters, cyborg bounty hunters, alien spiders and blood-thirsty demons from hell – all converge in eighteen NSFW animated stories.
