Trialer: ‘NIGHT SWIM’ (2024)

0

Secretly hoping, against the odds, to return to pro ball, Ray persuades Eve that the new home’s shimmering backyard swimming pool will be fun for the kids and provide physical therapy for him. But a dark secret in the home’s past will unleash a malevolent force that will drag the family under, into the depths of inescapable terror.

No running. No diving. No lifeguard on duty. No swimming after dark.

I must offer up an apology since I missed this gem back in early October as LATIN HORROR was busy making year-long plans for its 15th anniversary season. But we want to make it up to you and provide the goods, as well as a value-added bonus the other horror portals did not provide, that we think will more than make up for the delay.

Back on October 5th, horror juggernaut  BLUMHOUSE and Atomic Monster (James Wan‘s production shingle) have once again joined forces with Universal Pictures and jumped into the deep end of the horror pool and released the very atmospheric trailer and poster for their new supernatural thriller, ‘NIGHT SWIM, ‘ directed by Bryce McGuire. The release gained quite a bit of buzz, as all things from the house that Jason Blum built do.

The film is based on the acclaimed 2014 short film by Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire. The film stars Wyatt Russell (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) as Ray Waller, a former major league baseball player forced into early retirement by a degenerative illness, who moves into a new home with his concerned wife Eve (Kerry Condon), teenage daughter Izzy (Amélie Hoeferle) and young son Elliot (Gavin Warren), that has a swimming pool he hopes will help with his recovery and return to baseball.

THE BONUS: You can watch the full original short film that inspired the soon-to-be-released feature HERE. You’re welcome. 🙂

Will Night Swim do for outdoor pools what JAWS did for coastal beaches? Peep the creepy trailer and poster below. Night Swim hits theaters on January 5, 2024.
