BORIS KARLOFF AS FRANKENSTEIN’S MONSTER. UNLIKE VARIOUS MODERN INCARNATIONS, MARY SHELLEY’S ORIGINAL NOVEL TELLS US MUCH ABOUT 19TH CENTURY ATTITUDES TO SCIENCE (UNIVERSAL STUDIOS)
Trending on twitter today was the announcement of CBS ordering the pilot of “Frankenstein” for the 2019-2020 season. Before jumping up in joy thinking it’s a Mary Shelley adaptation or Universal Monsters interpretation, sit back, breathe and then read this synopsis,
“A San Francisco homicide detective who’s mysteriously brought back to life after being killed in the line of duty, but as he resumes his old life and he and his wife realize he isn’t the same person he used to be, they zero in on the strange man behind his resurrection – Dr. Victor Frankenstein.” – CBS
Frankenstein is written by Jason Tracey (Elementary). He will also be co-executive producer with Rob Doherty and CBS TV Studios.
Latin Horror will keep you posted as we are big fans of the Universal Monsters!!!
